LAKE WALES, Fla. – Women’s Volleyball head coach Dr. Kevin Crawford announced on Tuesday, Dec. 15, the signing of Gabrielle Perrone of Seven Rivers Christian High School.  Perrone will join the Royals next fall for the 2010 season.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Warner University women registered their first postseason win in school history earlier today (Nov. 12) as they upset #4 seed St. Thomas University (Fla.) 3-1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-18, 25-23) in the first round of the Sun Conference Tournament hosted by Embry-Riddle University in the ICI Center.  The Royals advanced to the semi-final round were they were defeated by the #1 seed Eagles 3-0 (16-25, 13-25, 17-25) to close their season above .500 with a 16-14 record.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference announced the 2009 All-Conference volleyball team at the conference tournament banquet at the Sunset Harbor Yacht Club on Thursday evening. The All-Conference roster was voted on by the league head coaches and featured 14 student-athletes representing five schools including Jenni Cook, representing Warner University.

LAKE WALES, Fla. – One day after locking up their first winning season in school history, the Warner University women’s volleyball team fell to St. Thomas University 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 20-25, 25-13).  With the loss the Royals end the regular season with a 15-13 mark (10-7 The Sun Conference).  St. Thomas improves to 11-8 (10-7 The Sun Conference).

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University women’s volleyball team honored their seniors with a win over Florida Memorial University as they defeated the Lions 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-11) Friday (Nov. 6) in the Turner Athletic Center.  The win improves the Royals to a 15-12 (10-7 The Sun Conference) mark while the Lions drop to 3-17 (2-15 The Sun Conference). The win locked up the Royals first winning season in conference and regular season in the school’s history.

LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Warner University women's volleyball team took a break from Sun Conference play tonight and fell to #22 Madonna University.  The loss drops the Royals to 14-12 overall while the Crusaders improved to 31-6 on the year.

AVE MARIA, Fla. – Sophomore Jennifer Daun posted her fifth double-digit kill match to help the Warner University women’s volleyball team defeat conference opponent Ave Maria University  3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-23) Saturday (Oct. 31) to improve their record to 14-11 (9-7 The Sun Conference) while the Gyrenes drop to 8-13 (6-11 The Sun Conference) for the season.

Athletes of the Week
Men's Tennis
Akharis Sa-ardphanchai captures this week's  Player of the Week honor after winning Warner University's first ever #1 singles match on Sunday, February 7, against Webber International University.  His victory was the Royals' only one against the Warriors.

Head coach Jose Martinez had this to say about Sa-ardphanchai's performance, 
"Akharis played a tremendous match; he played with discipline and attacked at all the right moments.  This young man is special, he has solid mechanics and is not intimidated by anyone."
Baseball
Dan Smith tore up NCAA-II competition last week.  In three combined games against no. 2 Florida Southern College and Eckerd College, the All-Conference first basemen batted .600 with 2 homeruns, 3 doubles and 8 runs batted in.  

Against no. 2 Florida Southern College Smith led the Royals batting 3-3 with a double, a homerun and 3 RBIs.
