Warner Men's Soccer to host Warner Cup

 Warner University Men’s Soccer will host their 7v7 Boys Soccer Tournament b.k.a The Warner Cup, on Saturday, February 20th at Royals field on the Warner University campus.  Teams interested should contact the Tournament Registration POC, Coach Bobby Sauer @ robertsauer2001@aol.com, or the Tournament Director, Coach Kurt Bienias @ kurt.bienias@warner.edu to get added to the field of competitors. 

 This tournament is geared for the U17 through U19 age group.  It will include a 4-game minimum with one game being against a Warner team.  The cost is only $100 per team with the concession stand open all day serving food and drinks all at $1.00 per item.  If you’re looking for a day of soccer that will be a lot of fun, this is the tournament for you!

Mark St. Fort
Men's Basketball

Mark St. Fort has been named the Warner University Athlete of the Week for games played Jan. 23-29.  St. Fort helped the No. 23 ranked men’s basketball team to a 1-1 week in The Sun Conference play.  Against No. 2 Northwood University, St. Fort scored nine points with six rebounds in a tough 82-58 loss to the Seahawks.  Then on Saturday night, St. Fort had a monster game against Florida Memorial University.  The Royals overcame a 43-38 halftime deficit defeating the Lions 82-74.  St. Fort’s second half performance helped lift the Royals’ offense; the Wauchula, Fla. native tallied 25 points in the second half.  The junior finished the game with 29 points and 12 rebounds to record the double-double.

Ethan  Lovell
Baseball

Ethan Lovell has been named the Warner University Athlete of the Week for games played Jan. 23-29.  Lovell helped the Royals baseball squad to a season opening split at Webber International University on Saturday (Jan. 28).  The Royals dropped the first game of the doubleheader 6-2 but rallied to take the second game 5-2.  Lovell got his senior season off on the right foot, batting 4-for-7 (.571) in both games.  The Lithia, Fla. native had a double and a triple while also scoring three runs.  Starting in centerfield for the Royals, Lovell recorded five put-outs as well.
