LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner University women’s basketball head coach Matt Murphy continues to build for the future as he recently announced the signing of Leah Smith of Harmony High School and Stephanie Wills of Boone High School.

Smith, a 5’4 point guard, joins the Royals after earning All-County and All-Conference honors while at Harmony. In her senior year campaign, she averaged 13.0 ppg while shooting 32 three-pointers. She closed out the season with the best free-throw shooting percentage in Osceola County. She topped off her senior season by earning a spot in the Osceola All-Star Game where she was named one of the top five players in the exhibition game. Smith is equally impressive in the classroom, carrying a 4.0 GPA.

Wills, a 5’7 forward, helped Boone to a 19-9 record this season after averaging 11.5 rpg. She also is strong in the classroom as she too boasts a 4.0 GPA.

“I am pleased that Leah and Stephanie will be joining us next fall. They possess all of the qualities that we look for in a Warner student-athlete,” said Murphy.
