The Warner University men’s soccer team is proud to announce the signing of Mario Alvarez Jr. of Arcadia, Florida.  Alvarez joins Warner as the first known Desoto High School boy’s soccer player to go onto collegiate soccer as a scholarship player.

According to head coach Kurt Bienias, “Mario’s tenacity in going after what he wants is what intrigued me the most about Mario.  I do believe once he is in a high-level environment on a regular basis, he will realize his true capabilities.”

While at Warner, Mario plans to study business.  He is the son of Mario Alvarez Sr. and Dora Alvarez.  His family fan base includes sisters Sandra and Yesneia Alvarez, brother Sergio Alvarez, and nephew Donavan Alvarez.
