Women's Track & Field Signs Lely High School Product

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner University track & field head coach Emperatriz Gonzalez announced the signing of Kreda Reseau of Lely High School to her 2010-11 recruiting class.

Reseau, a thrower for Lely High School joins the Royals after a successful interscholastic career at the Naples, Fla. high school, a career that culminated with her being named the team’s best thrower and earning All-Collier County Athletic Conference Honorable Mention honors.

Reseau competed in the shot put and discus throw, setting her personal record in the shot put with a mark of 30’9 as a sophomore and at 97’9.50 in the discus throw as a senior. She was coached by Nick Young and Katherine Manning.

Athletes of the Week
Mark St. Fort
Men's Basketball

Mark St. Fort has been named the Warner University Athlete of the Week for games played Jan. 23-29.  St. Fort helped the No. 23 ranked men’s basketball team to a 1-1 week in The Sun Conference play.  Against No. 2 Northwood University, St. Fort scored nine points with six rebounds in a tough 82-58 loss to the Seahawks.  Then on Saturday night, St. Fort had a monster game against Florida Memorial University.  The Royals overcame a 43-38 halftime deficit defeating the Lions 82-74.  St. Fort’s second half performance helped lift the Royals’ offense; the Wauchula, Fla. native tallied 25 points in the second half.  The junior finished the game with 29 points and 12 rebounds to record the double-double.

Ethan  Lovell
Baseball

Ethan Lovell has been named the Warner University Athlete of the Week for games played Jan. 23-29.  Lovell helped the Royals baseball squad to a season opening split at Webber International University on Saturday (Jan. 28).  The Royals dropped the first game of the doubleheader 6-2 but rallied to take the second game 5-2.  Lovell got his senior season off on the right foot, batting 4-for-7 (.571) in both games.  The Lithia, Fla. native had a double and a triple while also scoring three runs.  Starting in centerfield for the Royals, Lovell recorded five put-outs as well.
